Where it all began and other interesting information...
I am orginally from Springfield, Missouri. I've lived in Palm Beach County since 1985. I'm the mother of two children ages 14 and 16. My wonderful husband is a baseball fanatic and a letter carrier for the US Postal Service.
I have been sewing since I was a child. I can remember sewing paper together on my mom's sewing machine. In high school I sewed apparel for clients and participated in a sewing with wool contest. I started making quilts after my daughter was born. One of my quilt designs was featured as a 'mystery quilt' in the magazine 'Quiltmaker'. I acquired my interest in sewing from my mother and especially my grandmother. My great grandma taught me how to crochet, another hobbie of mine. I love the look of scrap quilts and I enjoy using traditional patterns in updated format. The Internet has been the perfect outlet for me to share my hobbie with others as it fits into my busy lifestyle.
The same quality and care that I put into my quilt tops is what you can expect from my machine quilting. I use a non stitch regulated hand guided Gammill Premier longarm quilting system with a 10 foot stand in my smoke free home. This is why I am limited for quilting very large quilts such as king size. I can pantograph king size quilts but can not quilt seperate borders on the king size quilt tops because I can not turn the quilt to enable me to do this technique. A quilt top is not a quilt until it's quilted and I can make this happen!
